FOR PROFESSIONALS
Microcement over underfloor heating.
A seamless floor and a warm floor suit each other well. The system is compatible with underfloor heating. What decides the result is the order in which the screed, the heating and the finish come together.

Why it works
The Atriafloor Super Titanium system is about 3 mm thick in total, so it adds very little resistance between the heating and the room. The finish coat is declared serviceable from −10 °C to +120 °C, well beyond any floor heating temperature.
The sequence that matters
- The screed is laid over the heating and allowed to cure fully.
- The heating system is commissioned and run through a gradual warm-up and cool-down, so the screed has moved and dried out before any finish goes on.
- The heating is switched off or turned well down during application, and every coat cures before the next.
- After completion the heating is brought back up gradually, not switched straight to full.
What we check at Site Assessment
Screed age and moisture readings, the heating type and commissioning record, the joint layout in the screed, and the levels at thresholds. The findings go into the written Site Assessment report before a start date is locked.
Joints
Movement and control joints in a heated screed are there for a reason. They're carried through the finish, not bridged.
What to put in the schedule
Name the full system, note that the screed contains underfloor heating, and require the heating to be commissioned before the floor finish begins. The specification clause on our system page covers the rest.
